Today, more companies than ever are hiring foreign workers, and these employers are obligated to inform the workers of the company’s rules and regulations. To do so, the employee handbook and agreements must be translated into English or another language.

Our translators are experienced with in human resources policy. Some of them have even been educated in human resources management. The advantage of assigning a translator with human resources experience is that they are up-to-date on ever-changing government regulations and related terminology in this area. It’s an absolute must to keep up with American law and legal regulations.

For example, specific terminology under US law pertaining to sick leave or other regulations requires more than just looking up the translation in a dictionary. The translator chooses the best wording in close collaboration with you and our project manager.

We sometimes include a brief explanation in the translation. After all, it is no help to you if your employees still do not understand the text. We deliver the translation with comments or remarks where applicable so that you are also aware of the nuances that we add to the text as a result of our knowledge of the differences in employment law.


Translations of employee handbooks are charged at our most common rate, which is $ 0.12 per word. When translating an updated version, we apply discounts for repetitions. Because we store previous translations into Translation Memory files, these discounts can be substantial. You benefit from the fact that we've translated thousands of these documents before. This only applies when the documents are in an editable format, of course, like MS Word or PDF.
